We are kicking the series-off with Work With Data's co-founders, Camille Lehujeur and Laurent Molter.
Work With Data (WWD) is a UK Startup with a mission to democratize data. In January this year, WWD closed a pre-seed £1.5 funding round at an undisclosed valuation. Kindred Capital led the round with participation from private investors including Shruthi Chindalur (ex Criteo), Praveen Paranjothi (Newnex, ex EIF), and others.

How did you get started as co-founders?
Prior to launching Work With Data, we worked together for more than 4-years at Criteo, a leading French ad-tech company.
When did you get started with Work With Data?
We launched in beta around a year ago to democratize data by combining open sources and artificial intelligence on a simple to use interface. Our vision is to make data more accessible, ethical, and reliable for everyone.
How is what you're building relevant today?
In today's world, data privacy concerns and ethical issues have become increasingly prevalent, leading to stricter regulations and an overall negative perception of data. With Work with Data, we are actively working to shift this narrative by leveraging open data, artificial intelligence, and user-friendly interfaces. By doing so, we aim to empower everyone to access and work with data in an ethical and responsible way. In a world where data is often viewed with skepticism and mistrust, Work with Data is revolutionizing the industry by making data accessible and beneficial for all.
Who are your (potential) clients?
Our clients are anyone looking for data, both individuals and companies. We make data easily accessible and we are evolving and learning from the needs of our clients.
Why are you best positioned to build this product?
We together bring over 15 years of experience in the data industry to Work With Data. We have witnessed the transformation of the data landscape from a positive to a negative perception due to privacy breaches and other concerns. Having experienced these challenges firsthand, we are determined to revolutionize the industry by taking a unique and innovative approach.
What is your ambition for WWD?
Consulting firms and governments have estimated that open data can increase the GDP by 1 to 5%. If we can contribute to this growth by empowering individuals and businesses to work with data ethically and responsibly, we would consider our mission accomplished. Our goal is to revolutionize the data industry by providing innovative solutions that empower individuals and businesses to leverage the power of data for social and economic benefits.
What's your differentiation in the market?
At Work with Data, we firmly believe in maintaining openness and accessibility for everyone, while strongly adhering to our ethical principles. We recognize that many companies in the data industry have compromised their integrity by closing themselves off and collecting data that falls within gray areas. This approach has contributed to the current issues faced by the data world. We are determined to do things differently by maintaining complete transparency and making data accessible to all while upholding ethical standards. Our goal is to provide users with a trustworthy platform that they can rely on to access and work with data in an ethical and responsible way.
What are you doing really well as a company?
At Work with Data, we excel at continuously testing, learning, and adapting. Our team is obsessed with this approach, and we prioritize it in everything we do. We believe in trying out new ideas as quickly as possible, collecting valuable insights and learnings, and then adjusting our approach accordingly. By taking this approach, we are able to constantly improve our product and ensure that we are meeting the evolving needs of our users. Our commitment to testing and learning is a key reason why we have been successful in building a platform that is user-friendly, ethical, and reliable.
