- Crypto VC is rebounding, but unevenly: Global crypto VC funding hit $4.8 billion in Q1 2025—the highest since Q3 2022—but nearly half of that came from a single $2 billion investment in Binance by Abu Dhabi’s MGX, suggesting much of the capital is concentrated in fewer, larger deals.
- Investors are more selective: The days of funding projects based on a white paper alone are over. Founders now need real traction, and deal sizes have shrunk nearly 90% since 2018.
