Clare&Me Secures €3.7 Million to Revolutionize Mental Health Tech

Berlin-based AI mental health tech startup Clare&Me has successfully raised €3.7 million (approximately $4 million) in funding to advance its innovative chatbot designed for clinical settings. This cutting-edge technology allows patients to engage in meaningful conversations about their mental health, aiming to reduce waiting times and combat stigma associated with seeking help. Founded by Emilia Theye and Celina Messner, Clare&Me is on a mission to enhance mental health care through the use of artificial intelligence. The recent funding round was led by YZR, a Munich-based HealthTech investor, and included participation from Kodori Ventures, Material Ventures, existing angel investors, and Antler. The investment will be directed towards further developing Clare&Me's empathic large language model (LLM) and expanding its product offerings, particularly in automating clinical anamnesis interviews. In collaboration with Charité Berlin, the effectiveness of their chatbot will be validated through studies that have already shown significant improvements in stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness among users.
